AroCell signs new distribution agreement in Kenya
AroCell continues to expand its business in Africa. Today, AroCell has signed a distribution agreement with Medionics Healthcare Limited covering Kenya. The agreement ccovers the sale of TUBEX® TF.
Since the launch in Africa, AroCell has focused on finding the right partners for distribution. The company has previously announced that agreements have been signed with distributors in Uganda, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, and Somalia, among others. AroCell has now signed a new distribution agreement with Medionics Healthcare Limited for distribution in Kenya. The agreement covers the sale of the company's rapid test TUBEX® TF for typhoid fever.
“We are pleased to announce that we have now a new distributor in Africa, covering Kenya. We continue our work to expand the market for the use of TUBEX® TF. This supports our commercialization strategy and is another positive step in the right direction", says Anders Hultman, CEO of AroCell.
TUBEX® TF is a bacteriological rapid test for a simple and safe diagnosis of acute typhoid fever, the most serious form of salmonella. Due to the non-specific symptoms of typhoid fever, the patient may be misdiagnosed with other diseases such as malaria, dengue fever, or pneumonia, and consequently receive incorrect treatment. Correct diagnosis reduces the risk of overuse of antibiotics and thus antibiotic resistance.
