Alliance Partner In China.

A strategic partnership with Zecen Biotech has been established for the development of tumor marker on automated CLIA platforms.

TPS® has been used in the Chinese market for almost 30 years on the manual ELISA platform.

For large hospitals, automated instruments are essential as analyzes can be carried out on a large scale quickly and efficiently. In addition, the ability to combine TPS® with other tumor markers, so-called combination analyses, is improved, which increases sensitivity.

At the end of 2019, IDL Biotech signed a cooperation agreement with the Chinese company Zecen Biotech, regarding the automation of the tumor marker TPS® on all of Zecen Biotech’s instruments.  The development project is completed and the product will be soon launched.

ZECEN Biotech is a company that mainly provides total chemiluminescence immunoassay solutions by developing, manufacturing, and marketing CLIA instruments and reagents. The company cooperates with leading hospitals in China and in addition to customers in the domestic market, also has customers in southern Asia, South America, Eastern, and Southern Europe in the international market. The company has research and development centers and production bases in Beijing, Shandong, and Jiangsu.

 

Cytokeratin

Most eukaryotic cells have cytoplasmic cytoskeletal structures known as intermediate filaments. The cytoskeletal network is responsible for the mechanical integrity of the cell, and it is critical during cellular processes like cell division, motility and cell to cell contacts. At present more than 20 different cytokeratins have been identified, of which cytokeratin 8, 18, and 19 are the most abundant in simple epithelial cells. The cytokeratins are epithelial cell-specific and the cytokeratin pattern is usually preserved during the transformation of normal cells into malignant cells.
